Sweet and Simple Summer Cards with Stampin’ Up! Ephemera Packs and Designer Series Paper

June 24, 2026 By Michelle

If you need a collection of sweet, summery cards to have on hand for birthdays, thinking of you moments, or just because, this week’s live replay is for you. I made five beautiful cards using two of my favorite new Stampin’ Up! ephemera packs, and not a single stamp was needed.

Watch the full replay above to follow along step by step, or keep reading for a look at everything we made.

Summer Birthday Card with Clouds and Cute Van

For the first card, I started with a piece of the Everyday Essentials Designer Series Paper as the background, then cut an arch shape from basic white cardstock and popped it up with dimensionals. From the Under the Sun Ephemera Pack, I pulled out three little clouds and layered them across the arch. Then I grabbed the happy birthday sentiment from the Sincerely Noted pack, which has the prettiest darling duckling and calypso coral color combination. A few pink Array of Dots finished it off.

This one comes together so fast and it is just so cute. You could also swap the birthday sentiment for a “Miss You” or “Thinking of You” piece from the same pack and it works perfectly for any occasion.

Beach Birthday Card with Linen Thread, Flip Flops, and Sunglasses

This one might be my favorite from the night. I wrapped a piece of linen thread around the card base twice and tied a bow, which gives it such a fun, summery feel right away. The designer paper has the most beautiful lost lagoon and calypso coral colors on the back side, so I used that side as the layer.

From the Sincerely Noted pack, I found a sentiment that says “Happy Happy Happy Birthday” in those same coordinating colors. Then from the Under the Sun pack, I added a pair of flip flops, a sun, and some sunglasses across the front. I tucked a little seashell from the pack onto the inside of the card, too. Pink Array of Dots finished it off beautifully. It is a perfect summer birthday card.

Thinking of You Summer Card with a Lemonade Glass

For this one, I cut a scalloped circle from crumb cake cardstock using the Scalloped Blooms dies, then brushed a little bubble bath ink in the background and flicked some darker bubble bath ink with a marker for a soft splattered effect. It gives the whole card such a pretty, summery feel.

The little lemonade glass from the Under the Sun pack went right on top, popped up with dimensionals. I used the “Thinking of You” sentiment from the Sincerely Noted pack, and finished with Array of Dots in either yellow or blue. I made two versions so you can see both and pick which one you like best.

You Amaze Me Bike Card

This card came together so fast. I layered a floral piece of the Everyday Essentials Designer Series Paper onto a bubble bath card base, then popped up a little bicycle from the Under the Sun pack toward the center. The “You Amaze Me” banner from the Sincerely Noted pack went flat across the bottom.

My favorite detail? I tucked some Pretty Peacock Array of Dots right into the wheel of the bike. It looks so intentional and it is just adorable. This is one of those cards that people will ask where you bought it.

Hey There Friend Card with Rain Boots and an Umbrella

The last card used a darling duckling base with a coordinating piece of Everyday Essentials paper. From the Sincerely Noted pack, I used the “Hey There Friend” sentiment, and from the Under the Sun pack, I added rain boots and an umbrella tucked into the corner. Pink Array of Dots finished it off, though you could use yellow and get the same sweet look.

This is such a versatile card. It works as a thinking of you, an encouragement card, or just a little note to a friend.

These ephemera packs are honestly one of the fastest and most fun ways to create beautiful cards. I hope you give them a try.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used in This Video

Under the Sun Mix and Match Ephemera Pack (Item #167710)
I used this pack on all five cards tonight. The clouds, flip flops, sun, sunglasses, lemonade glass, bicycle, rain boots, and umbrella all came from this one pack, and they coordinate beautifully with the Sincerely Noted pack.

Sincerely Noted Mix and Match Ephemera Pack (Item #167706)
This pack has the best sentiments. I used happy birthday, “Happy Happy Happy Birthday,” “Thinking of You,” “You Amaze Me,” and “Hey There Friend” across all five cards tonight. The colors coordinate perfectly with the Under the Sun pack.

Everyday Essentials Mix and Match 12×12 Designer Series Paper (Item #167702)
I have been using this paper for everything lately. The colors coordinate so well with both ephemera packs, and Stampin’ Up! really hit it out of the park with this one.

Array of Dots (Item #167559)
These little dot embellishments come in so many coordinating colors and they are the perfect finishing touch. I used pink, yellow, and pretty peacock dots across the five cards tonight.
