I wanted to share with you this card we made at my monthly card class featuring the Flying Home Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! This set is so adorable and is retiring very soon. I also used the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set for the sentiment.
This card is easy to create. I started with Soft Sky Card Stock, that is also retiring, that measures 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches and folded in half. Next I cut Soft Suede Card Stock 5- 1/4 x 4″. The Wood Textures Designer Series Paper is 5 x 3-3/4″. Layer the Woodgrain Paper and the Soft Suede and then wrap Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon around and tie. Layer to the card base.
Next, you will want to stamp your adorable bird image onto Whisper White Cardstock with Memento Black Ink. Cut out with the Layering Circles Framelits in the Big Shot. Also, cut out a layering scallop circle in Soft Sky. Color in the stamped image with Stampin’ Blends. {sigh, I know they are unorderable right now so if you don’t have them you can use Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, or a Blender Pen with Ink, or any other way you like to color.} I used the Pool Party, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to color in. I then layered the scallop to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish off the card I had a 1/2 inch strip of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped the sentiment from Colorful Seasons in Early Espresso Ink. I snipped the end at an angle and attached it to the card.
