If you’re getting ready for Christmas card season, these four cards give you two cute and whimsical ideas and two pretty winter ones.

How to Make a Merry Mischief Gnome Christmas Card with a Chocolate Chip Cookie
We started with the Merry Mischief Bundle, which is $54.75. It has three cute little gnomes, some really cute sentiments, and a set of dies. This little guy is holding a cookie, so I made it a chocolate chip cookie with light and dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment says, “May your Christmas be as sweet as a warm cookie.”
The card is Pool Party and Real Red, which are some of my favorite Christmas colors together. I embossed the top Pool Party layer in the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. That folder is currently unavailable, so you can use any embossing folder you have. The white background was really white, so I lightly added some Pool Party blend behind the gnome to tie in the color.
I also made a mistake you can learn from. I trimmed my layer after I embossed it, and it took a little chunk out. After you emboss, the paper is not as strong, so it’s better to cut first. I glued the piece back on, and from a distance you can’t even tell!
Merry Mischief Gnome Card with Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper
Card two uses the same bundle on a Real Red base with Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper, a ribbon, and a Peaceful Pine piece cut with the Scalloped Christmas Cheer Dies. I loved the card from my 30 Days of Christmas Cards video that day, so I changed the colors and made sure I had enough supplies to send out for this class.
I colored this gnome and his present with Peaceful Pine and Real Red Stampin’ Blends, then added cute little dots with a white gel pen. The sentiment is heat embossed and says, “There’s no one I’d rather spend Christmas with.”
This card is decorated inside and out too. The inside says, “Sending you all the Christmas cheer I can muster,” with little polka dots. To finish, I colored some Basic Rhinestones with the dark Real Red blend. Just color with the side of the blend, because the tip can fray.
Dreamy Snowflakes Winter Card with an Embossed Silver Foil Snowflake
Now for the pretty winter cards. The Dreamy Snowflakes Bundle is $58.50 and has the stamp set, 20 dies, and my favorite part, the hybrid embossing folder. I can’t get over this folder.
This card is Balmy Blue with a white panel embossed in that folder. I cut a snowflake from silver foil, then ran it through the embossing folder too, and it is so gorgeous. It sits on a vellum circle with glue dots, with a little ribbon and a Merry Christmas sentiment stamped in Balmy Blue.
Here’s a tip. If you put an adhesive sheet behind your foil before you die cut it, all those little pieces pop out easily. I didn’t think of that until after I had already cut a whole bunch of snowflakes! You could also use this one as a pretty winter birthday card, in whatever color you want.
Dreamy Snowflakes Melon Mambo Mitten Card
Our last card is a little more fun and not as traditional. I used Melon Mambo to show you how pretty this bundle can be in different colors. The embossed panel is layered on Melon Mambo, and I added a little ink to a circle with a blending brush.
The cute little mittens are in the Dreamy Snowflakes stamp set. I stamped them, then used Wink of Stella to pull the ink and color them in, so they’re a light pink. I also flicked Wink of Stella across the background for little sparkles, because snowflakes are sparkly. The sentiment says, “Even when it’s cold outside, your friendship warms my heart.”
I finished with a white baker’s twine bow and three white iridescent sparkle sequins. If you get the kit, I’ll send the ribbon, but you’ll need your own baker’s twine.
