I’m so excited to share some big news with you! Many of you know I’ve been teaching cardmaking and paper crafting classes as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator since 2009. Over that time, I’ve met so many wonderful people who love creating, connecting, and spending time together. That journey has led to a brand-new adventure — Night Owl Craft Retreat!
The Story Behind Night Owl Craft Retreat
Last year, Ryan and I needed to find a new space for my crafting business when we came across a building in Burton, Michigan. It was larger than we needed, but we quickly realized it could be transformed into something even more special. With the help of our dads, we started a full remodel in December 2024 and turned the back into my office and craft studio and the front part into a creative getaway for crafters.
That’s how Night Owl Craft Retreat was born! It’s a place designed for groups of friends to gather, laugh, and create together all weekend long.
Overnight Craft Retreats in Burton, MI
At Night Owl, we welcome groups of up to 8 guests for overnight weekend retreats. Think of it as an “Airbnb for crafters” — the space includes three bedrooms, bathrooms, a lounge area, and a large craft room with plenty of space for your projects.
You can bring your own supplies for cardmaking, scrapbooking, or other creative hobbies and enjoy uninterrupted time to craft with friends.
Monthly Day Crops for Paper Crafting, Scrapbooking & More
In addition to overnight weekends, we also host monthly day crops. These are creative sessions where you can spread out and enjoy a full day of crafting without the overnight stay. Day crops are perfect if you want to meet new crafters or just enjoy some time away for yourself.

Crafting has always been about more than just the projects. It’s about the friendships, the laughter, and the memories we make along the way. Life can be stressful, and sometimes we all need a place to step away, recharge, and just enjoy doing what we love. That’s exactly why we created Night Owl.
